‘Valdeorras pueblo a pueblo’ was born out of the need to highlight and publicise the villages of Valdeorras and the people who live there. We realised that many stories were being lost every day, losing little by little the memory and the history of our ancestors as well as all the customs and oral tradition. With the abandonment of the countryside, we are not only forgetting our villages, but we are also forgetting our elders, our history and our culture.
